Which Would You Carry?

Your 6906 is getting a lot of votes.

Isn't the 6906 a FrankenSmith? That is the reason I dismissed it from consideration. I wouldn't want to have to use it and then deal with the legal fallout.
I think 469 was compact version of 459, and 59/69 for fullsize/ compact carried over to 3rd. Gen

OP if you are open to suggestions for other models, try a 5903. I have rediscovered mine.

Not much bigger than a 6906, feels better in the hand. And if capacity matters to you, (it does not to me)it uses Mec-Gar 17 round flush fit mags. Carries great and points well. Give one a try if you get can opportunity. Regards 18DAI

See the OP's opening post:

"A FrankenSmith -- 6906 frame and 3904 slide and barrel.."

Of those two, the 6906. The SW99's never impressed me, and I'm a fan of plastic.

Actually, I prefer metal guns with hammers over polymer guns any day so the 6906 wins.

HOWEVER, that said, my EDC 9mm is a polymer/striker Walther CCP because of its size. Nonetheless, my 6906 is fixing to re-emerge from the safe because it's getting crazier and crazier out there and the extra rounds on board beat carrying extra magazines. Not that I wouldn't have a reload but 4 extra rounds in the pipe just seems like a fine alternative! ;)

(I know deep down I should focus on one or two carry guns and get really, really good at them, but I've got such nice options I hate not availing myself of all that craftsmanship, history and effectiveness.

I agree. See that item above about the 6906 versus the CCP? I carried the CCP for the last several days as I was out and about and out of town. If I pull the 6906 out tomorrow, since I know it works and I have shot it sufficiently, I might carry it forthwith and not even think about going to the range until such time as I am in the mood. It will perform for me without my being Dead-Eye Dick, I don't care what anyone says. I am very satisfied with my proficiency after the many years I have carried and shot these various guns.

Heck, when I'm inclined I carry less firepower in revolvers! :D

OP

I am curious as to why you want to eliminate PX4 Storm as a carry gun?

Footprint by chance?
It is a tank , but the Compact model has worked great for myself.
