With Chis Cooper, Kris Kristofferson, and more, directed by John Sayles. I thought it was steeped in great dialogue, and a great story. I believe some accolades for great acting should have been doled out for this cast.

Feedback from those who have seen this wonderful, entertaining movie please! It has recently been replayed on one of the premium channels.

I saw it when it first came out...could it really have been twenty-one years ago!?!

An outstanding film, something of an indie film, and the movie that really jumpstarted Chris Cooper's career.

Like a good book, the film is one the viewer never tires of watching multiple times.

Someone mentioned it on the forum a year or so ago, so I rented and streamed it from Amazon. $2.99. It is an excellent flick. (“Lone Star,
two words, by the way.)

That was me. Glad you enjoyed the movie. I thought I would bring it up again. With all the junk they are producing lately, it's good to occasionally catch a good movie. Not to many special effects just a good plot and great acting, sort of like 'O'brother Where Art Thou", "Who elected you the leader of this outfit, well Pete... I thought it should be the one with the capacity for abstract thought!" and "The Princess Bride", "inconceivable"!

It's a great film. Whenever it comes on air and I turn it on I end up watching it to the end, even when just channel surfing. The cast is excellent; Chris Cooper was made for he part. Sadly, Elizebeth Pena has since died young.

I just finished watching “Narcos” (that was well done kind of an interesting mix of fact and fantasy) and noticed “Lone Star” is available, I’ll take your suggestion.
