Who makes a nice hip holster for a M-17 6"

I am no expert but have been shopping for one for several months and as near as I can determine no one makes a holster specifically for a Mod 17. I have a Bianchi holster for my Mod 19, but due to barrel size the fit is very loose for the 17. I have found a Hunter holster that is marked 1100P 10. The fit is loose, the interior will be rough on the finish long term and the holster had to be modified slightly for the rear sight, but I use it. Leather & Nylon Holster - The One Holster That Does It All! advertises their holsters with a soft lining and the one I have for my Bersa .22 does have the soft lining. I purchased one for my 17 and of course they changed their holsters and it has a hard nylon lining that they claim will not harm the finish. It fit well, not specifically for a 17 and I have forgotten what model Smith, but sent it back due to the lining. If they start making them again with the soft nylon lining I would recommend and buy one for myself. Sorry to ramble, Jim

I carry mine in a S&W brand holster, no longer made but fairly easy to find for sale on the 'net.

Unlined leather holsters are a little hard on the finish at the end of the barrel.

Skeeter used a S.D. Myers #770 according to his writings.

The current version is called the 1897 "Sweetwater".
