I am looking all over for a company that sells a pinned night sight, all I can find is meprolight and they only sell the front and rear as a kit, does anyone have any other options or places they know of?

Rightwinger - I know of no one who makes a blade, with or without night sights that is pre-drilled for a pin. Everyone has to be fitted to the individual revolver. You can send it out to be done or you can buy a blade, fit it yourself, and then send it out for a tritium insert. Check out Tooltech for more info: Tooltech Gunsight

For what gun? Meprolight makes a front nite sight only for pinned J frames.

Its for a 686, I'm familiar with the XS big dot and have one and really not too impressed with it, the dot is just too big. So I can buy a blade and just fit it and then have the blade mailed off to be fitted for a tritium insert?

Tooltech may install one if you just mailed in the front site off your gun, email them and ask.

Unfortunately I have the horrid red ramp integral front sight.....I'll be glad to get that milled off, it looks like something on a child's gun, I hate it.

With the red ramp, the Meprolight system with the front red insert replacement is probably your best bet. It will mean buying the rear blade also, but you can choose to use it or not. Your alternative is to send the whole gun and have the front sight milled off and a slot cut and hole drilled and tapped for a replaceable sight system. Then a patridge with a night sight lamp could be installed. Going to be more expensive though.

The model 60 pro series has a pinned trijicon front sight.

Bobf,

Yes, you're right, the model 60 pro series does have the tritium front blade, but I have no idea who makes this and can't seem to find it anywhere for sale. Its not listed in the parts page of the S&W website......well, none of the parts on their newer guns are listed to be honest.

Mine is marked Trijicon on the side. Might be worth a call to S&W to see if one is available.
