who makes Sigma magazines?

Rep at S&W said he thought they were made for them by Mec Gar but that was wrong. According to Mec Gar, they only make mags for the M&P. I'm trying to get some extra mags w/o paying 50 bucks eack from Smith, but want the same mags.

There are some distributors that sell them cheaper than the factory, but there is only the S&W brand.

Greg Cote has the SD mags in stock for less $$ than you can buy from S&W. The SD mags will work in the Sigma.

If I remember correctly, I bought some from CDNN, several months ago for $30 each. They were for the 40F, but they work the same and hold one more round.

If you get these, check that there is a little wiggle left when the magazine goes in; remove the baseplate and sand the top surface to get clearance, if needed.
Common complaint is that the 40F magazines don't go all the way in and lock on the newer guns.

I already have them, for several months now. Yes, I did thin the bases down by .025"-.035", and they work perfectly. I also sanded off the "ice-scraper" teeth. The base contour now follows the grip, front contour. Very nice!
Here are a few pic's of the original mags. But I did the same to the "F" mag bases too.

Maker of sigma mags might be ACT-MAG in Italy....for those of you shopping for replacements, and who don't read other threads on the same subject, trying using the name Sigma as well as the S&W PN of 19357 in the search....I just bought 2ea including shipping for $71, not cheap but well below the rip-off $50 quoted on $43 MSRP mags.

I stick with the S&W branded mags since I've had problems with some of the aftermarket mags in the past. As others have said above, there are web sites that have them cheaper than the S&W site if you don't want to pay their price. I just bought 4 M&P mags for $25 each this week. Sometimes cheap aftermarket mags are too cheap to work right.
