Looking for someone who sells the 158 grain Lyman #358156 bullets. I have no way of casting my own here in my apartment.

I'm a ways away from you here in upstate, NY. No one around here has any of them (not suprising given the few shops, and ever fewer that sell any reloading supplies.)

Yeah, I checked on his site, it doesn't appear that he has any that I could find.

Dave, I see them there on his site....click on the picture of the bullets Then scroll down. Call him...you might have to leave a message but he is easy to work with.

David,

Is there a particular reason you're looking for the 358156?

The gas check makes it a more expensive bullet to produce and is totally unnecessary at normal handgun velocities.

A plain based 158 gr LSWC that isn't too hard would probably do everything you want and will be much easier to find. Tennessee Valley Bullets may even have a similar bullet in a softer alloy.

We're trying to. We shot 6 a few weeks ago.

The best thing about 358156 is the two crimp grooves. The gas check isn't needed for handgun ammo, and gas checks have become very expensive in the last few years.

FWIW I know quite a few apartment dwellers that cast bullets. If I wanted that bullet I would just cast it myself.
