Who the heck makes revolver holsters anymore?

I've recently acquired two K frames with 4" heavy barrels (LE trade ins). A trip to the range proved them to be accurate and reliable. It's always been my practice to have a least one holster for every handgun I own, just in case.

So I'm trying to find leather holsters for these without breaking the bank. My only real requirement is that they be open topped with no safety strap.

I've identified the Sourdough Pancake by Simply Rugged holsters for about $60 each which is about the upper limit I'd consider for holster that will likely never by used.

Is there anyone one else in that range that I should consider?

No nylon please!

Thank you.

Hey Jerry, Vance's has a big box of used K-Frame leather duty holsters at $10 per.

I just got a Simply Rugged Pancake holster for my M-19 2.5 inch in the Oxblood finish. It is a great carry holster. $70 w/shipping you can't go wrong. Recommended highly.

Try Ebay, I've picked up 4" K frame holsters for as little as $15. This vintage S&W holster set me back $22 plus shipping...

The safety strap could be easily removed if you are dead set against having one.

No, no, no, no, no, please don't be cutting straps off vintage S&W holsters, especially nice ones like Black_Sheep's. Those are already becoming collectibles. :)

In all seriousness, it's not difficult to find exactly the type of holster you want with a little searching. There's got to be at least a dozen, if not more, holster makers on this forum alone (look at the Vendors list), and then you've got all the big names out there and then the vintage/used market on the auction sites and forums classifieds. All it takes is a little time and effort.

I find them all of the time on eBay...simply key in k frame holster.
Most of them I pay less than $20.00 for. DeSantis holsters seem to show up frequently.

I had a nice L Frame holster from Tagua Gun Leather that my K frame fit nicely into. It was nice and snug. It was a high ride open top with a forward cant. I think I paid something like $50 for it.

Dun Hume. A little bit better design at a little lower price than most.

GunnersAlley is a large Hume dealer and has lower prices than direct.

Regards,

Pat
