Who was your favorite band during your coming of age

The Beach Boys, Chad and Jermey, the Beau Brummels....
Lots of them in the 60s.

Rule 303

Jethro Tull "Aqua Lung"
When I was going to Catholic prep seminary in Chicago in the '70s, there was a bum who hung out on Western Ave. He looked just like the bum on the cover of "Aqua Lung". He'd go up to people and rasp, "Gimme a qwahtah!". The guys who had to wait at the bus stop where he loitered started calling him "Aqua Lung".

How bout the Young Rascals? :D
Felix Cavelleri was awsome..in 19-ahem.... they played my High School Auditorium.. somewhere in New Joisey!!...but I was just a wee lad..;)
barely old enough to remember...

Actually saw him at preform at Disney a year or two ago.. still rocked the house.. ( Or chair as it were:eek: )

Dude!

That's gotta be Dick Dale and the Del-Tones!

Just maximum excellence!

And then the Brits came in and ruined everything, but the Stones, Who and Animals were OK in their more reserved way.

Nope! Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane.....
Lol!
The funny thing is I've just turned 40 and I like all of the music everyone has mentioned. Even funnier there were times I didn't like it because it "wasn't cool".
I've learned that I like music no matter what type as long as it speaks to me. Someone telling a story of heartache, fun, partying or loss I find awesome. I love songs that tell a story or about life. This way I enjoy the music at whatever venue.
Even when out having fun "nonsense" songs are O.K and we've had these in every generation! LOL

Anyone remember UFO? Force it was a great album.Micheal Schectner(sp?)was a great guitarist (very melodic style)in UFO,'70 rock and went on to his own group, kinda more fusion/jaz.The Micheal Schectner Group.
