Who's Got the New Style Mag's

I want to get some extra mags, but the ones that have them, show the old style in their pics.

Why do you need the new ones. I am running the old ones and they feed perfectly. Just make sure that you LOAD THEM CORRECTLY. They should all be loading at an angle never straight across the red follower. I use winchester 333 with old mags and it feeds flawlessly.

old/new no difference

I have one of each and i pay no attention to which one i use and see no difference in performance. as always loading properly is the key. pghrich

I dodn't know though. I ordered quite a few mags from s&w 2 weeks ago and all were the gen 1 style. I always load properly and when out plinking I can't say I've had a single mag snag. However they do snag occasionally when I can no longer resist the temptation to aimlesly rapid fire an entire mag down range. Other than that, no problems.

How do you tell the difference between the old style and new? Just bought my 15-22, 2 weeks ago, serial: DTZ1XXX, just curious which mags I have...

I've not had any FTF or FTE with any ammo except Winchester 333's and 555's...

fix what you got

I had a few FTF and then I just took some 1000 grit sandpaper and polished all edges at opening of the mag ....no more snags

"Old style" has 22lr marked on side of mag. "New style has 22lr & 25rd marked on side of mag.

Mine is also the "Z" series, and it came with the new style mag, yours should also be the new style.
