Why are K-22's or any gun so different in pricing.

I like to knock Gunbroker because sometimes "auctionitis" sets in and common guns go for stupid prices, but I got a Keltec RDB for $100 below any online price a couple weeks ago, and a Colt PPS for $350 just this week. A LGS is selling a much newer i.e. less collectible PPS for $650. That Colt is the first used gun I've ever bought on GB and I've been buying/collecting for 20+ years.

As for K-22s, I find that the younger and more urban (city minded) someone is, the less they value K-22s and old revolvers in general. Some go ga-ga for an X-frame behemoth and wouldn't give a 1950s K-38 or prewar K-22 a second look. They are hard to find for sale in the country because that's where people can shoot cans and such in the backyard...like I do :)

There is an LGS near me whose revolver prices are 25 to 30% lower than everyone else. Another guy less than 15 miles away is stupidly high on revolvers. Guess where I have bought?

Daughter collects iconic 22 rifles. Wanted a break-action Stevens (vintage, not the reissued ones). They were always $150-200. Small store in a small town had one for $50! I asked the guy, "What is wrong with it?" as subtly as I could. He said he could not let me shoot it but he would. We walked out back and he rang a small gong at about 30 feet 5/5 times. I bought it. As we finished the paperwork he said, "I have no idea why the boss marked that so low."
