Why do youtubers show that their guns are empty?

I was qualifying one time and the RSO said "is the line ready!" that was immediately followed by BOOM! He didn't skip a beat and said, "I guess that means yes"

I guess that means no. But YMMV.

I like that they show that the gun is clear before handling it.

I think it shows initial credibility. Of course you can lose it just as quick.

Anytime I am around a firearms situation I make a first and lasting impression of who I am listening to or dealing with by how they handle the firearm.

Goes for buddies, the range,LGS and so forth.

Memory loss is a terrible thing. I don't think you know or care what you say. You just like to argue and spice it with a heavy dose of condescension. No one was talking about editing and fakery until you chimed in. Character glimpse perhaps? ;)

Umm ... okay. Sorry, but you make it impossible for me to avoid some more of that "condescension".

Are you aware of the concept of an "example"?

Member Pennzy expressed an expectation that Hickock45 would make a mistake on camera, and when I pointed out that this was unlikely, he asked me if I thought Hickock45 would edit that out.

So I expressed my opinion that all professionally made Youtube videos are edited and likely would not show the main character in a bad light. Hickock 45 LLC is a business, by the way.
