Why no love for the Bodyguard 380?

I went to the range yesterday. I bought a bag of guns and my pastor/friand brought his BG380. He had just got it and it was the 1st time I had shot one. Before I review we had a great time shooting my revolvers and semi autos from 1911s, 4513TSW, CZ75BD, 686 3" Talo, Beretta 86 in 380, and a sig P238 and an M&P Shield 9 and a 649 in 357. I left the 10mm home but I think we hit every caliber I own down to the 380. Now for the BG380.
as far as a pure combat 7 yard gun it preformed flawlessly and we both were able to shot about 6 mags each with no misfires and all rounds were in the torso area on a 5" target. Many were with in a 3" group. I was surprised at the accuracy do to the long trigger pull. You can do a 3 stage set on the trigger and get more accuracy as you hold for that last 1/4" of pull. But that's an unfair analysis as in a SD situation that will not happen. The sights were fine.
I did not mess with the laser so I have no comment. I would personally carry a J frame air weight (I do) than this as a pocket gun. Just my preference but the gun performed fine.
It was interesting that my pastor/friend really liked the Shield 9, Beretta 86, Sig P238 and the 4513TSW, 649 better..as CCW options But he bought it for the laser. I didn't tell him they could be added to other guns. Not yet anyway.
So my take on the BG380.. I would never own one. But it performed to what it was made to do. Put rounds in a torso at 6-8 yards in rapid fire without jamming. So It up to your personal choice.

My wife has a S&W 642, A 4 in. pre 10, S&W M43, Sig P238, Beretta 21A and a SR22 but the only gun she will carry is her S&W BG380. She wants a gun that always goes bang, is small and isn't heavy. For her that is her BG380. Larry
