Why No New 3 inch K Frames??

Why doesn’t S&W reintroduce a 3 inch K Frame Revolver? They should be popular. I know the 2 3/4 inch Model 66 is a great alternative choice and there is the new 3 inch Model 19 Carry Comp, but I would like a fixed sight 13/65 offered new. Any thoughts on this?

There have been some 3" surplus Model 64's showing up lately. I picked up a 3" 64-8, which would be the latest iteration of the 64.

no lock 3 inch K frame

How about a 3 inch K frame with no lock? I would happily sign a waver to satisfy the lawyers if that's what it would take.
