Saw a S&W 651C at the LGS. Had come in this week and not priced yet. Looked it up on "Completed Auctions" on Gunbroker and was shocked. Why are these going for so much? Has a 2" barrel.

The vast majority of 651’s were 4” barrel. The 2” is definitely a rare bird

651's 2" were not a normal run. I think they were a low production run for RSR. Wait until you look at a 650 price.
SWCA 892

I have a 650 that I'm thinking about taking to sell on consignment what do you think they are brining I have shot it but it's in almost perfect condition. I didn't know they made a 2 1/2" when I bought mine it wasn't offer. I think I bought it in 1987.

A new thread would probably be advisable. Or go to Gunbroker and look up COMPLETED AUCTIONS.

Pretty neat little gun. Seems like a waste of adjustable sights.

I throughly enjoy my 2” 34-1. The much improved sight picture over fixed sights really does help these small guns I think.
Mine is much more accurate than you would think given the short barrel.
There is something about those tall shark fin front sights I just like- can’t explain it logically at all.
I would love to find an affordable J frame centerfire with adjustable sights and that tall shark fin !

My 34 can run dueling trees and plate racks with boring regularity.
My club has a 1/2 size steel uspsa target set at 65 yards. Hitting it all day long with the 2” 34 is Childs play
We have a large ( probably about 2 for by 3 foot) steel Buffalo shaped target out at 150. I can typically hit it 5 for 6 with the 34
