Tell me... why would I need an external lock for a gun with an internal lock? Doesn't make sense.

Yes it does, if you think beyond the immediate.

Some states have laws requiring guns to be locked during storage and/or transportation. SW's internal locks do NOT suffice.

Interstate transport requires a locked container. AGAIN, a mere internal lock is not sufficient.

The Chinese cable lock, cheap POS though it is, meets those criteria; the internal lock does NOT.

More good reasons for me to spend the rest of my life in South Georgia, with minor occasional forays into South Alabama or North Florida. They don't require any of that nonsense.
