So we got to the show at about 1:00. Line was still about 40 yards long, the first line I'd ever seen that late. Line was out to the street at 9:00am opening time, I was told. Longest anyone remembered. Inside was still packed.
By 1:00 the Ammo pallets were already empty, with large crowds around the handgun dealers tables. I expected markups but Shields were going for $375. I almost bought one. Also almost bought a Navy marked Colt 1896 DA for $400, but passed on that also. Just not in a buying mood since the
economy tanked last time and now retired.
Some prices were still ridiculous with Pythons marked $2K - $3K.
Saw one 29-10 in good shape marked $1050, but then a M15 for $599.
AR's didnt seem to be moving that well, with many on tables actually
marked down.
Not bad for an RK show. Also found out there will be another in 3 weeks!
Oh, yea, I almost forgot, saw a pair of 1911's melded together into
one gun! It was only $4500, but I passed on that too.
