Wife attacked by a Bobcat

Glad everything turned out for thbetter. Ive been stalked by a small pack of Coyotes before--and it aint fun. We used to live about 1 mile outside of the Kingsville City limits and we lived in an area that had 7-8 houses spreadout through the lare area. I was walking home from the hayes house--which was about 1/2 mile fromours--and no lights on the road-and only one smallporch light on in the entire area. You could easly hear the low growls--and see the lights of their eyes. I had no stick-bgun or anything that night. After that night-I carried my Dads large heavy USAF flashlight-and a bayonet,

I made a very long hike at 11000' a few years ago to see the wreckage of a B-17 that crashed during the war.It was 13-14 miles round trip so I only carried enough food and water and layers to get through the night if the weather went south.Something followed me for awhile on the way backout. From the amount of bear scat I saw up there,I figured it was him or her.Makes it interesting [emoji1]

I often wondered why the hair rises on the back of your neck when you can't see or hear something. You just know they are there.

Man I read the title wrong. At first I thought it said "wife attacked bobcat" lol

I was expecting to see a photo of woman trapped under a small earth moving machine.

We have had coyotes sighted around here and hawks or something snatching very small pets.

I had a real eerie experience with Coyote's several years ago while deer hunting in Illinois. I was on stand way down in a gully with a creek running through it and naturally you hunted as long as there was light.
It got dark real fast and as I was picking up to leave the howling started. It didn't take long to figure out I was literally surrounded by a pack of Coyotes.
The shotgun stayed loaded till I was out of the gully and back to my truck.
I had never even seen a Bobcat until the last couple of years here in Arizona. It's not unusual to see one walking thru a suburban neighborhood anymore.

Mans best friend. I like dogs more than most people and both people and dogs remind me of why I feel that way on an almost daily basis. Glad your wife and Anna weren't hurt.

Good dog Annie! We've had a variety of dog breeds and mutts over the years, but now only have this one Rhodesian Ridgeback name Bo, short for Bochepus, His six years old now and mostly does his lion chasing by lying on the sofa watching TV and security camera hoping to see mom come home from work. Everything X Ranch posted about this breed is true with Bo. Funny thing is when going for his exercise walks and all the dogs are barking, he normally never makes a sound, however if a Fed/UP driver shows up, he'll let out that deep throat woof.

Anna has gone on but we had 15 years with her. We replaced her with two Rhodesian Ridgeback female pups. One barks and is very protective and the other sort of laid back and she howls like a bloodhound. The first time I heard her howl I thought we had a timber wolf in the house.

Forgot to mention that you have a very nice RR. I can tell by his coat he lives inside and he is fed well.

There's a Rhodesian Ridgeback in our neighborhood that walks past with its people now and then. He is very laid-back and quiet, but knowing a little about the breed, you can bet he can take care of business.
Step N. Mud - That's a good-looking Ridgeback in the photo. The dog on the TV looks like our springer spaniel, only much cleaner. Can't imagine our girl anywhere near a white couch!

Bo and us appreciate the compliments. He has been a a pleasure.
He is more of the laid back type, but sometimes reminds me of Scooby-Do or Krammer from Seinfeld TV series.
