Will .44 magnum percussion break a window in a pickup?

I do know that a .30-06 fired while rested on the hood will make a nice big crack across the windshield.

Hired man's wife found out that the barrel of a rifle is much lower than the scope. Put a groove in the hood of a pickup shooting at a coyote.

"You can play a stereo at the same volume as a .44 Magnum, and objects won't shatter"

Holy Cow, I've listened to a lot of loud Rock n Roll, but nothing like that. Grand Funk Railroad live wasn't even close.

Having been inside a suburban when a .44 mag was touched off INSIDE the truck (he didn't want to put his nice new 629 out in the rain to shoot a hog, so he leaned back and pointed out the window but kept it inside), I can tell you it didn't break any windows, but It was dang sure unpleasant...

I once shot a 22-250 out of the passenger window while I was sitting in the drivers seat of my Oldsmobile. I can't describe how loud it was. The guy in the passenger seat thought it was pretty loud too. No glass broke though.

He does know the 629 is stainless, right?

Never heard of anyone breaking a window shooting a deer with a 30-06 or partridge with a 12 ga.

I guess you should let your buddy be the driver the first time.
