It's Christmas movie time on TV.I see a advertisement for a Ferrell movie & turn to another station! I can't stand him I don't think he is funnry at all! I tried ...I really did...I saw him in two movies & suffered....he acts the same no matter what role he does...Rant over!

I couldn't agree more. He does not make me laugh at all. Now Chris Farley he was funny just looking at him. Remember the motivational speaker skit. "You'll be liven in a van down by the river, smoking a doobie"!

Wow - I love Will Farrell and I don't think I am the lowest common denominator. My wife and I work very hard and put in long days. We kick back on weekends and often enjoy comedies and action movies; do not want to be serious seven days a week. I respect other opinions.

I'm with Jackvs1, I think Will Ferrell is hilarious. His years on SNL were the best that show ever had. If you can't sit back and enjoy a movie like Elf during Christmas time than I'm not sure what to tell you.

And please don't tell me you think Steve Harvey IS hilarious.

He's had some funny movies. So has Carey. I loved Ace Ventura when it came out.

Most actors star in similar movies and occasionally do something different. There are few actors who can do comedy then a serious movie then a good all around movie.

Arnold, Stallone, Van Dam, all did the same movies over and over. How many times can you watch Van Dam fight in a kickboxing ring? He made those movies none stop. Scenery changes but the plot stays the same. Most actors are like that. How many times is Bruce Willis going to Die Hard? Even when it's not Die Hard it's still Die Hard. John Wayne, same character over and over.

Politics aside good actors are few.

But I dislike Jack Black totally! I wouldn't watch a movie of his if it included free popcorn!
