I know someone will post that MIM parts are just as sturdy...etc....ok, that's fine. But the milled case hardened parts are pretty

Does anyone know if S&W will replace the hammer and trigger on my 686 with case hardened milled parts if I send it back to them?

Smith still has some parts for older guns. Some parts like barrels are long gone.

Not sure which gun you have but the older milled hammers were completely different then the new MIM hammer which is made for an internal firing pin instead of the the hammer mounted like the old smiths use. Not sure if the k22 hammers would work or how much different they are. But I honestly doubt S&W would do anything other then replace the parts with like parts current production.

The Performance Center uses forged hammers and triggers with the new firing pins. Give them a call.
