I am helping a friend clean up a 1922 vintage 94 src 32 Spec. I am fairly sure the holes in the left side of the receiver are for a Lyman 21 sight. I'd liketo make him plugs for the holes. If anyone has any idea what size and thread pitch I'm dealing with I'd appreciate your input. Thanks, Mark

Google peabody rifles. They make modern lyman 21 sights and probably tell you what the screw sizes are. Frank

Mark,
Those threaded holes for a receiver sight were added to the gun. Winchester didn't factory drill 1894/94 receivers until after WWII at about serial number 1,900,000. Here's a 1928 SRC.

Before you go to the trouble of making screws, try some standard 6-48 plug screws. Any gunsmith should have them for about $1 a piece. If you can't find them locally, send me a PM.
