A few months ago, I bought a box of Win 22LR (333 rounds) and after going through about half the box, the fail-to-fire rate is slightly more than 10%. I have never had this kind of problem with any other ammo. In my experience, the Fed22s, which is what I normally shoot, do not have this problem. It is very irritating to pull the trigger and have nothing happen, then have to manually eject the struck but unfired round, over and over again. I have even run them through the gun again, and they don't fire after the second strike. The few Federal's I have had that didn't fire the first time always fired the second time around.

This may be just one bad box, but I doubt that I will ever buy another box of WIN 22's.

Anyone else had this problem lately?

I have used a LOT of bulk paks of 22 lr, and they all will have an bad round once in a while.
Here is how I rate them: Remington Golden Bullet= worst for FTF, seems to vary from lot to lot. Winchester like you had= better but not as good as the Federal 550 bulk paks from WalMart.
The Rem's and the Win's are loaded a little hotter velocity wise than the Federal, but only like 20fps or so.
I have had the best luck with Federal, either the 550 36gr hp value pak, or the Champion target, both from WalMart.

Never had that problem with Winchesters, but I had it big-time with some Concord (Philippine) ammo, which was maybe 25 years old. The guy I gave the three or four bricks to had no problems, AFAIK. I have also had a problem with a bunch of CCI SV, but mostly out of one gun. No problems with Blazer, though.

.22 ammo is a mystery, at least to me.
