I took the plunge a couple of weeks ago and bid on and won two pre A Winchester 52's off GB. One is a slow lock and the other a speed lock. I took the slow lock to the club tonight to sight in and see how it's accuracy is. I could only shoot at 50 feet so it wasn't much of a challenge for the 52. The rear sight is a ladder style tangent sight and the front is a non-original blade.
Below is a photo of the slow lock and the first 5 shot group after I took 5 shots to sight it in.
Designed to be a U.S. military trainer, but not accepted by the government and beat out by the Springfield 1922. I'll get the speed lock to the club for it's tryout over the weekend. Additional photos will then follow.
