This is a very nice example of a first year of production Winchester model 74 in the scarce 22 short caliber. It is all original, no extra holes or back yard gun smithing.
The stock may have been refinished at one point but not too sure on that. Several people told me the early stocks were better finished.
This is a very early gun with a four digit serial number of 4158 and has the 24 inch barrel and it's original peep sight.
It functions and fires perfectly and is very accurate. $550 shipped and insured.
