LGS (in Switzerland) has a sale on this ammo, just over $ 200 per 1000

I believe the 50 rds boxes inside should look like this

I am not familiar with it since we get mostly get European 9 mm (Geco, S&B, Fiocchi) and Brazilian Magtech

I've shot Winchester ammo in other calibers (30-30, .45 WM) and it was quality ammo but I've read some negative comments about their 9 mm white box

Is this good stuff ? Price is the lowest I can find for any 9 mm

Thanks in advance

The Super X version is usually considered top tier ammo, and sold here at a higher cost than the basic white box stuff. That said, I have fired a lot of 9mm and .45acp white box, and a fair bit of Super X, and have had no issues with any of it. The Win Clean ammo is favored for indoors range use because of its lead free priming, though some have said the lead free primers are not as reliable as the standard primers, hence its not recommended for carry use.

My personal opinion is if it reliable in your gun, it is as good as any other 9mm ammo on the shelf, and at $200 per thousand, it is priced very nicely in today's market.

That is Winchester's premium line ammo and it is loaded to standard pressure levels. It is not NATO or anywhere near +P, so it is safe in any firearm originally chambered in 9x19.

Ha, buy it! White box stuff is/was pretty much standard ammo in the US of A

Pretty much all we get here now is the foreign stuff too, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Winchester's silvertip is selling here for $20 for a box of 20, if you can find it.

Ciao

"It's as good as any and better than most"...Shane showing Joey how to wear his holster .
Actually it is Winchester's top of the line ammo , you will like it .
I would buy it ...if I could find any !

In all my years as a marksman I have only had good experiences with Winchester ammunition. As for the price for me it is excellent because in Argentina they cost three times the value you mention.

My only concern with this ammo would be if I had a European issue military 9mm, which of course would need a bit more pressure to operate reliably. For my Model 39 and 639 Smiths I'd buy all of it I could at that price... that's about a third of the best price I can find it here.

The packages you show at the top of the post will NOT contain ammo similar to the other fancy boxes. Winchester has a military contract to produce 9mm 124 grain hardball at a rated velocity of 1200 fps. Ammo which doesn't pass inspection for the military contract gets sold in USA. The primers in the white boxes you show should have the primers crimped.

Before our current ammo panic, I was buying the Winchester 124 gr NATO for $8.99/box of 50. The ammo is loud and dirty but runs my Ruger carbine very well.

The price you mention is very good.

Adding to the choir, I'd buy as much as I could afford. I think the asking price is good for pre-pandemic times. If that ammo was for sale in a US gun store, they'd all be gone by lunch.

Their specs show 1130 FPS, so should be no issue

Thanks everyone for the feedback

I asked if there is a further rebate for 5000 rounds but answer was no, price is rock bottom, so I decided to pick up 2000 rounds for starters and get some more later if the guns and I like it

Then went to try them at the range, usual 25 meters offhand

GTG, the Sig P210-6 shoots just fine with that, so I'll get some more soon.
