I've been bad.

I'm too old to keep buying rifles and pistols. I thought I had myself under control, but this week my impulses got the better of me. Morphy had some nice ones, and I had some enablers who spurred me on.

Here is a fantastic Winchester High Wall I snagged. I am yet to see or hold it. These are photos from the auction.

Beautiful rifle!
Ser# looks like 1905 mfg.
Lack of WP proof mark would be before May of 1905 if everything was done by the book. But never say never with a Winchester.

Ain't they just got graceful lines,,and a classic target caliber of the period.
Congrats!

Fantastic Deluxe High Wall, they don't get much better!

That rifle has a bunch of special order features: Half round #3 barrel with no rear seat, deluxe H checkered pistolgrip stock with a cheekpiece, a Schuetzen buttplate, a single-set trigger and a vernier peep. After looking at the photos, I think I need to change my username to MajorDrool! :D
