winchester remington22 long rifle boxes at bottom (need date)

There is a Local estate auction today with many vintage Winchesters colts and smith and wessons. The auction bill has hundreds of vintage firearms, weapons. It was a private collection. I was wondering a fair price on this full box of 45 colt. I think its a pretty scarce box.

I have yet to find a decent valuation publication for either dating or pricing old ammunition.

Buy the 357 ammo to photograph with your RM) if it is under $250 (think about it if it is under $350) - you won't see many more of those boxes...

Jim, Here we have a picture of a full box of western 38 special wad cutters missing both end flaps with correct ammo. And a pre war 357 Winchester box missing one end flap with mixed head stamped ammo. If you shrink wrap these and use them for your display you can have them for shipping cost.

I see a lot of old 38 specials at flea markets and gun shows but it seems the .357 is a very hard find.

That's a hard find. I see them popup on gunbrokers from time to time. For a pre war Remington dog bone box I would expect to pay 100.00 or more.
