Anybody know where to find any of this, Winchester W Train and Defend Handgun Ammo 9mm[/I]???
It was rated by a YouTube guru higher than Federal HST...now there is no trace of it anywhere I've seen.

Anyone ever used it or have any experience with it?

Later,
Reg

It was one of my favorite 9mm rounds and has some of the best performance out of 3”-4” barrels for 147.

I have some Train tucked away for training classes as I carry the Defend.

I have not found it for sale anywhere in over a year now.

I don'r recall seeing that ammo in stores even prior to the current crises but quite honestly I use Federal HST 124 grain std. vel. for my own SD so I don't really keep an eye out for this stuff. That said, it has been rated pretty high! Good luck in finding some.

It was an interesting concept, but I never bought into it. It is likely a good idea for someone who is only going to practice with one box of ammo a few times a year. Not a great idea if you plan to practice a lot.

I concur Federal HST 124/+P124, 147/+P 147 are some HARD ammo to beat...also Speer GD 124+P is Stout as well...not to mention Buffaloe Bore 124 +P & Black Hills 125 gr Honey Badger!!:D:cool:

Has there ever been a good comparison test between the HST and the Ranger T?

The Train and Defend were easily found Pre Covid at BPS and Cabelas.

I also prefer the 147g load for my use. What puzzles me about Winchester is the different 147g offerings. They have the Ranger/T-series bonded or non bonded; the PDX and the Train&Defend. Is there really 4 different bullets used? Or are the Train/Defend and T-Series (either one) the same. The PDX and T-Series bonded the same? I scored a brick (or 2) of the non bonded T-Series before the stupid began. Good luck finding any of it now...
