So, today I had a lousy day shooting paper. There’s another thread in the pistol section that shows that. BUT, I forgot about the lottery ticket in my wallet. Hit the grocery on the way home and I checked my ticket since I remembered it on the way out the door. It’s only a $1012 winner but I’ll take it! Any suggestions where I can “invest” my winnings will be considered. I made the mistake of telling the woman that lives in my house, so I’ll give her the odd $12. Husband of the year will be my next award!!
YeeHaw!

I can recycle some BUD Light instead of my standby Busch Light! Lihpster, that's one of the 1st things I thought of! It took me some thinking, (that hurt a little) but I called Mrs. Refer and told her. I'm on wife #3, but this time I own stuff. House, 3 cars, 2 pensions plus SS check, and annuities somewhere, but I'd still like my name on them all. I'm thinking a holster for that 27-9 I bought. I really like that gun and it deserves some nice leather. Coincidence I was online with Barranti trying to find a nice piece of leather & belt last night. I'm gonna be calling to have Angel spayed real soon, and that grand will almost cover that. I suppose a case of Bud Light, a trip down to South Hills to the gun shop, (just in case!), I already got the nail taken out of her tire today so she should be good for a while!
Ya know, a grand isn't anything to sneeze at, but it's beginning to not be enough! What a problem to have...

Better check out Bud Light’s new promoter first . . . .
Just sayin’.
Be prepared for a shock.

Give your wife 1/2 of it!

If I were you I would give 1/2 of it to my wife...it's $ I did not have so why not at least give her 1/2 of it...she will be happy and greatful...Roger

The most I ever won was $5.00 with which I bought 5 more lottery tickets - all losers. :(

I'd say what you won is just about what a nice vintage Revolver would go for! LOL :D

No no no no no do NOT tell your wife.Period. End of story. Drop mike walk away. If you think SHE is gonna tell you if she won $1,012 you are daft!
That is like telling them about your girlfriend:rolleyes:
Now if you win the BIG one and you live in a community property stte like Louisiana eventually you will be forced by circumstances to tell her at some point, but if you di it right it will be by way of Sat phone from an unknown location with instructions to get her share (what YOU think she should get) from da lawyer. DO NOT get into the trap of getting another wife/girlfriend but instead I would suggest that you rely on short term rentals until you get settled down :D

Or at least that's what you heard....
Hypothetically speaking, right????

My winning ticket came in the mail in 1968, straight from local Selective Service board with my lottery number. My first year's salary was about $1000.

Lots of neat firearms to play with, airplanes to jump out of, helicopters to rappel from, and a vacation to a tropical destination in Southeast Asia (all expenses paid, travel, lodging, meals, medical care, ammunition, explosives, all with a few limitations and subject to availability).

I stopped doing lotteries, figured it would all be downhill after that one big win.
