what do you fellows do?i know taking one out of a cold environment and bringing it into a warm one will cause condensation,and the outside is easy enough to take care of but what about the innards?

My CCW is on my hip, in between my body and sweater/jacket. Your body radiates heat and the heavy clothing traps some of it. Warm enough there I suppose.
Unless you live in Siberia or Antarctica I've never heard of wintering a carry weapon

They trap moisture which lays on the metal and causes that ugly brown stuff called RUST. Metal needs to "breathe". I learned the hard way years ago when I took the zip-lock bag advice. It cost me $300 for a reblue, which killed the value of the gun.
