Has anyone done a spreadsheet on what we(Americans) are buying?

The manufacturers know, but for commercial (and other) reasons they're not about to cough up that sort of information.

Otherwise it would require a national gun registry, and you won't find fans of that idea around here.

I totally disagree with your hypothesis about the other side being able to use this information to obtain gun registry.

Apparently everything but double rifles and drillings.

I have one double rifle in 450 3 1/4" Nitro Express and 3 combo guns (one rifle and one smooth barrel in O/U configuration. But everyone with a drilling for sale thinks they are made of gold and prices accordingly! (I would even buy a 9.3x72R [38-55 power] with 16 gauge smooth barrels if the price was good.)

Dixie Gun Works had 45-70 doubles several years ago but the locks were so poorly made they pulled them!

Anything Taurus are still for sale. Very happy I have what I have. Hopefully I can scratch the new S&W itch without having to sell a kidney.

I have a good friend working the counter at a local shop. He says " small 9/40's and 5 shot .38's. He also said cheap, new and used guns (HiPoints, Jimenez) are impossible to keep in stock. They have to be open 6 days a week instead of usual5. Constant line out the door to keep the "COVID fine police" from getting their piece. Joe

I was at my LGS the other day. They had a wide selection of guns. And they flying out the door, 5000 in line for background checks and the guy who was buying an AR pistol somehow scooted to the front of the line! It happens that way sometimes. They were very short on ammo though.

Was looking at some of the final sale prices on a big online clearance/police auction today. People are plain nuts. One person won a Beretta PX4 on a $400 bid, which with the buyers premium came to just shy of $470. Only thing is it's just the gun, no case, no manual and no magazines. Yep, it didn't even have a mag in the gun. Unreal.
