Springfield Armory's XD-S 45 is the large caliber, slim, affordable subcompact that S&W should be making. Maybe it will happen one day.
This is a fine CCW for those who want striker-fired 45ACP. Reliable, accurate, tough, and small enough to carry very comfortably. I picked it for all those reasons, but I'm going back to a 4513TSW because I just love the metal S&W 45's.
I'm the second owner and have fired less than 20 rounds from it. The gun is a couple of years old and its group was recalled to the factory to have a small roll pin installed in the grip safety. As you can see, the warranty work has been completed on this gun.
It comes with everything shown in the photos, including the original labeled case. The magazines are a five-round, flush-baseplate, and two additional seven-rounders with the extensions. (This is one more seven-round mag than is sold in the current "XD-S Essentials" package.) A great setup for CC and plenty of backup.
New price as of 7/12 is $400 (reduced from $475, then $425) shipped insured from my FFL to yours via USPS Priority Mail 2-day delivery. Three day inspection period and full refund less return shipping to me if you aren't completely satisfied.
