For sale is a nice example of the Type 56 Chinese SKS, numbers matching, unmodified. 7.62 X 39 caliber, ten round fixed magazine, spike bayonet, cleaning rod, etc. Import marked "Norinco China Poly USA ATL. GA."
I bought this rifle a while back, it was still packed with cosmoline when I got it. I degreased it, cleaned it up, ran 20 rounds through it to check operation and accuracy. Found it to shoot well, sights well regulated and dead on at 100 yards. Cleaned it again and put it away...
It was missing the bayonet and cleaning rod when I got it, I found replacements on Ebay. The cleaning rod and bayonet make a tight fit when the bayonet is placed on the muzzle of the rifle, polishing the tip of the cleaning rod helped but it is still a little tight. This is only an issue when you "Fix Bayonets", the bayonet will readily slip over the muzzle, but is snug to remove it...
Price is $400, shipped to your FFL. A Face to Face transaction can be arranged with Virginia residents in Far Southwest Virginia, near Marion, Roanoke or Martinsville.
