This is the Smith & Wesson Model 41 target pistol, originally shipped in May, 1973, which I used for bullseye competition after it was customized by Mr. Dick Beaulieu, head of the S&W repair facility, in or about 1982. He replaced the original barrel with a 7 inch unit which he cut back to 6 inches and then turned down the front 1 3/8 inches to create a cylinder of 5/8 inch diameter. This was to reduce weight so that a red dot sight would not make the gun too heavy. He then crowned the muzzle, drilled and tapped the barrel and affixed a sight mount base. In addition, he replaced the stocks (grips) with a prototype competition grip which he had received from the manufacturer; it is a plastic compound which may be shaped to fit the owner's hand precisely.

The gun currently wears an Ultra Dot sight with a Polarizing ring, and a rare (certainly not commonly found!) oversized trigger guard. It is accompanied by two (2) magazines. This gun fired a score of 98 of a possible 100 at 50 yards when I was younger; it's a great shooter as well as a unique, collectible pistol!

Price is $1,495.00 plus $75.00 shipping from my FFL holder to yours via Registered Mail. Payment to be via Postal Money Order.

The first "I'll take it" reply will close the posting, and I can commence shipping arrangements once I receive a PM or an e-mail at [email protected] with the buyer's complete identification plus a copy of the destination dealer's FFL. Thank you for your interest.
