Selling from my personal collection: a very nice, original 1949 Winchester 94 in .30 WCF (.30-30) that was owned by the Travis County (Austin), TX Sheriff's Dept. until just recently. I purchased this rifle a while back from a wholesale distributor located in Austin. According to them this was a trade-in directly from the sheriff's dept. armory. It's in as-found condition (I haven't fired it) with their arms room rack # still stamped into the left side of the stock. Overall this rifle is in VG original condition. The walnut stock and forearm have NEVER been sanded so it does have some light nicks and dings from being carried but there are NO cracks. Mechanically it is like-new and I really don't believe they shot it very much at all; there isn't even a mark on the breech face from firing! The action locks up tight and the bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling. Wood-to-metal fit is excellent. The original blue is at least 90%, there are no extra holes in wood or metal, and no rust issues. Don't want to sell this rifle but I need the money for another project.
