This pistol appears to be a Brazilian contract gun because of the marking on the left side of the slide. C203xxx frame, 205xxx slide with a 5 digit South American style barrel marking. No markings on the right side. Reblued. No rust. Some pitting under the grips. Nice "L" marked magazine. Has all the correct Colt commercial proof marks / ID marks.

The Colt factory slide SN 205xxx is found under the firing pin stop. Looking at the slide right side in bright sunlight, there is no indication of any markings. This is how it came to me.
Colt probably did a lot of strange things in 1941. A letter from Colt Archives may help to explain this.

Previous owner says it came from Ramstein AFB in the 80s.

No trades. $982.41 shipped FFL to FFL CONUS. Check or USPS MO.

Thanks for looking at my big hole maker!!
