FS: Two "ranger" style belt buckles for someone putting together a holster rig. These are getting hard to find. BOTH are marked "Sterling" and both are the desirable 3/4" belt size. All forum rules apply. First "I'll take it.... etc". Feel free to ask questions. Can provide specific photos if you need something else.
#1 (top in photo) This is hallmarked "Kenneth Bill, Navajo". I found numerous references to this artist on the web. The dealers/galleries that carry him all show nothing in stock, so perhaps he has retired. I found no biographical info except a listing of "1950's" Navajo silversmiths. From some of the photos I saw, this would appear to be one of his earlier style hallmarks. Note the clasp design is unusual as it has a hook like a rodeo buckle and an articulated loop. This buckle appears to have never been mounted. Now $200 shipped. (Reduced)
#2 (lower buckle in photo) This is not hallmarked to maker but does have the 'sterling' mark which would imply this is not from Mexico as ".925" is the customary mark for silver south of the border. This buckle appears to have been used and came to me on the display belt strap shown in photos. The silver piece at the tip of the belt is pinned on, and I did not pull the pin to remove it. I believe this is an older buckle. Now $120 shipped. (Reduced)
Payment by check or MO. I reserve the right to hold for clearance of personal check. If you get it and it isn't as I described, send it back and I'll return your money. Thanks.
Trades?? Holster, maybe?
