This is a 1945 Inglis Hi Power in great condition. The buttstock attaches and detaches smoothly. In addition to the other stamps the buttstock has faint Chinese characters stamped on one side. The pistol does not have Chinese markings on it, but the serial number matches the Chinese-intended series for the ATF’s SBR stamp exemption.

Sale price: $2100 plus shipping.
Trade interests (my value depends on yours for your item):

Field grade Garands (These are in stock at CMP for $700 but locally people want $1400 for them even with pitting on the metal)
Saginaw M1 Carbines, none with Blue Sky import marks
S&W 4513 (non-rail shorter grip model is most desirable)
S&W 460 5”
S&W 4006 TSW with integral rail and bobbed hammer.
Colt Delta Elite (checked carefully for cracks if an older version)
AMT AutoMags or Auto Mags.
USA made baseball gloves in very good condition without names written in marker.
Original, genuine M3 fighting knife.
Al Mar Applegate Fairbairn without cracked scales.
OA-93
HK SP-5
Remington 700 in 308. Threaded muzzle. Preferably a heavy target stock and a heavy barrel.
Certain 50 BMG bolt
action rifles.

I’ll add more as I think about it.

I don’t particularly value box, papers or tools. I will actually shoot and carry any guns from trades. Functionality and rust-free metal are important.
I have not fired or disassembled it. There is a discrete import stamp on the butt behind the magazine well.

Before I bought this I looked up the various online forums and write ups for guidance on originality. I wasn’t alive in 1945 so I cannot guarantee that the date stamp is accurate, but I believe it is an original stock and therefore does not need an NFA stamp. The ATF’s C&R book lists this exemption. A May 1981 ATF letter also extended the exemption to replica stocks, but I would not rely on that letter.

There are two reasons I am listing it here instead of going straight to gunbroker. First, I am not looking to make a profit, so an auction is not my goal. Second, the group of rogue characters here on the S&W forum is more likely to have some of the trade items I am interested in. If someone lives distant from me the trade idea may be impractical.

I don’t have much feedback here on this forum but I have years of dozens of positive feedbacks on various gun related sites and on eBay. I can message from those accounts too to verify that it is really me. Shipping rules have gotten more complicated this year, so it might take a little effort to find the most cost efficient and insured option.
