Checked my email only to find an unexpected “Congratulations!” from Gunbroker.
I wasn’t expecting to win this one. Decent deal. Layaway option which I will take advantage of for a painless purchase/savings plan in the S&W bank for my wife’s benefit after I die.

You are sure to like that one! I have a 4" 586, no dash, had a 686-3, 6" (which I stupidly traded) and a 5" 686-6 Pro Series. Have never met a L frame I didn't like. Bob

That is a nice one, and the price was right! I'm a long time L-Frame fan, and have owned my share; OK maybe more than my share;) I started carrying an L-Frame shortly after they were introduced and have since owned, NDs, -3, -4, -5s and one -6. Much as I like the K and N-Frame .357s, the L-Frames are my favorite...

Congratulations 🎉 I won mine last year and it was my Grail. The dash 3 fixed most of the issues of the early variations while retaining the features I coveted. Namely the flash chromed hammer/trigger and wood stocks. Mine is a round butt snub with combats, however, the target stocks are great on a longer one like yours! You did very well and won a treasure 🪙

I think you did

Judging by the pics and the price, I think you stole a good one. It looks much better than mine and I would not even think about taking $600 for it.
That either didn't get shot much, or someone spent a whole bunch of time cleaning to make it that pretty.

Nice!
This one ended up $720 shipped after tax and fees
Still a decent deal.
Looks in great shape.
I was not expecting to win.

This now means I will want a blue and nickel 586… already have my eyes on a 586 6” nickel … I think a 4” blue is a must. No dash.
I gave up trying to resist a good while ago.
They are coming.

Congratulations! My first S&W was a 686-3 4”. They are great guns.
My first .357 was 686 6" no dash in early 1990. It.´s without M and one time it got stuck with .357 MAG.
I gave it to a gun shop in exchange for another gun.
Old poor scanned photo, only that I have of it

About five years ago I found a nice 686-3 4" for sale in a gun shop, very little shot and in good condition.
This is the most expensive gun I bought during the Finnish Euro period, I had to pay EUR 450 for it
