Won A Match Today!

I've only shot 3 rimfire silhouette matches, and today I won 1st place in optics and 2nd place in irons!

Totally new at this, but it's the most shooting fun I've ever had. (Well, except for that one time with an M2 Carbine!)

I didn't shoot very well overall considering I missed way too many pig targets, the largest ones. Go figure.

Also made some embarrassing rookie mistakes like starting a stage with an empty mag.

Very encouraging and can't wait to get back to the range and practice.

The Model 41 is a dreamboat of a shooter.

At what distances are you shooting? They all look to be at the same distance? A game we played years ago was (22 pistols iron sights only) chickens at 10 meters, Pigs at 20 meters, Turkeys at 30 meters, and Rams at 40 meters. With iron sights this is challenging, but not so difficult that it chases beginners away.
