Hey guys, searching for a little collective wisdom from any woods-beaters here.

For many years, have employed GI-style 2" web belts for my woods rigs.
My main Lobo-made crossdraw thumb-break that I use for a couple of different N frame 6 inchers was even ordered to work on a 2" belt.
In addition to the holster and revolver, I carry off-side an ammo pouch (folding slide), a large Schrade folding knife and a compact LED flashlight in a Cordura pouch/holder.

Another GI web belt I have set up for various scouting and woods work holds a K frame 4" or similar (such as a Ruger S6) in a Bianchi UM84 utility nylon flap holster, a folding nylon ammo cartridge slide, a compass, and an old GI 1911 mag pouch, containing a multi-tool on one side and a large 2-blade folding knife on the other (one blade serrated for sawing chores)

Anyway, these web belts, especially the first listed are becoming sort of a pain. The 'locking' sheet metal fittings that are supposed to keep them sized to your setting keeps slipping with the rig getting looser through any activity you engage in, except for sitting still.

Looked online, and of course almost any search of gun belts max out at 1.75" width and most are oriented towards CC.
The very few in 2" come equipped with sewn ammo loops ala' Matt Dillon. Don't need or want that.

Trying to not break the bank - this is certainly not EDC stuff.

Anyone have suggestions?
Thanks.

No ammo loops
A bit over 2"
Something like this ?
Seems like it would be rock solid to me.

Yessir, something in a similar vein would be workable.
I simply can't abide black leather though, too many years of enforced usage of it. ;)

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I'm not a holster or gadget guy. I've always found a holster to be a less than comfortable impediment and carrying a handgun in such a mode will allow it to get scratched or dinged when going through brushy country, unless the holster has a protective flap, something the anticipatory folks probably wouldn't care for.

When I owned a couple of hundred acres in rural North Texas, I used to carry what was referred to as a musette bag when walking. It's a small canvas military surplus bag with a single snap closure. It has an adjustable canvas shoulder strap. Plenty of room for essentials and a revolver or semi-auto of any size as long as the barrel wasn't over about 6" or so. I would often carry a Model 24-3 4" .44 Special revolver. There were lots of wild hogs in the area and you really didn't want to walk too deep into the woods without some sort of armament.

Unlike some, I wasn't anticipating a gun duel, but I get could get my revolver out of the bag quickly enough for any situation I might encounter.

I've never liked advertising the fact that I was carrying a firearm, even if I was on my own place and no one around for miles, but that's a personal thing for each of us that's not worth arguing.
