Woot! New Shield

Hello All,
Just picked up my new Shield tonight. This is my first Smith and Wesson so I thought I'd come join the conversation here.

I live in SC near Charlotte NC. In addition to Guns I also play with knives, motorcycles and other dangerous things.

My favorite gun right now is my Ruger MKIII, sorry but it's just too much fun shooting with my kids. It's one of the few things I can still beat them at. I bought the Shield with plans to use it in a future CCW class. It seemed small enough to be the carry gun you won't leave at home but still be easy enough to practice with frequently.

Looking forward to learning about this new gun and getting to know the group.

I think you will like your shield. I know I do. I got the .40 cal. Shoots well without the expected kick. It works as a pocket carry for me.
