Worth owning?...

Is a French Model 1935A worthy of putting the effort and money into getting some ammo for it??

I got the pistol...despite the fact I knew before hand ammo was made from un-obtanium(I think Buffalo Arms may be able to get me some).

Sort of a cool looking little hunk-o-hardware that I'm trying to decide to either keep or trade-off...

WHY NOT ?
When you can find ammo, it will be plentful as not many folks are using it. IIRC there is an american cartridge case that can be reformed to be used to as a reloading case ?

I scoped this deal out already..the making ammo part...most non-surplus ammo you find is made from re-machined .32S&W Longs...can also swage down the head diameter of .30 Carbine and shorten it.

I dug around online..nobody makes brass...so to speak..except people that convert it from something else...

Buffalo Arms occasionally has the formed brass made from .32 S&W Long. I was making my own before I found them. Their price is quite reasonable when compared to all the fiddly bits you have to do to make it yourself. .308 85 or 90 gr. bullets are easily available. My 1935A is pleasant to shoot and quite accurate.
(The 1935A was designed by Petter, who also had a hand in the SIG design)

Yeh...sort-of looks like a Sig P210...but ain't a Sig P210.

Reminds me of a Tokarev more than anything else. You can peel the slide/barrel assembly off...and pluck most of the rest of the giblets out in one sub-assembly..hammer/sear/mainspring and some other internals come out in a pack!...It's a nice-made little gun....I bet you can stick ammo in it and it would run!
