My wife was supposed have a knee replacement tomorrow but started getting sick Thursday night. Naturally the surgery was postponed. We thought it was a case of stomach flu or some virus. Last night she got worse and we went to the Emergency Room early this morning.

They checked her out good and immediately sent her for a cat scan of the stomach and intestinal area. They found a blockage in the small intestine and are now trying to vacumn all the accumulated residue from her stomach and are hoping to loosen the blockage. If it does not work it means surgery and that isn't good because she is weak form the sickness besides being a month from eighty six. She has quite a lot of pain and is very uncomfortable with the tube through her nose into the stomach.

Please remember her in your prayers.

Thursday eve: They ran some tests today and were sure enough that the blockage had been eliminated that they removed the tube from her nose and stomach. Also allowed her a little water, juice and jello. If things stay OK tonight it is possible that she she can come home tomorrow evening. Things are looking up.

My family will keep your wife in our prayers. Please tell her we are praying for a speedy, full recovery.

Prayers for your wife and family. I hope she avoids surgery. My grandmother had abdominal surgery in her nineties and recovered quickly and completely so tell the wife to hang in there.

You have prayers from Texas for her complete healing and for God's hand to rest upon the shoulders of those caring for her.

Thanks to all for your prayers. They have managed to clear out quite a lot by suction but don't know how much remains and if the blockage has been decreased. They are to do another Cat Scan tomorrow.
