This probably is like asking 'for the moon', so I certainly understand if no one can help. I didn't think it would hurt to ask, though.
Being partly disabled, I rarely travel. However, this coming Thursday(Sept. 24th) I plan to transport an elderly couple(and their daughter) to a point around 3 hours distant to visit their latest great-grandchild. I volunteered because I don't believe that this particular threesome should be traveling without having a CCW permit holder along. We'll be taking U.S. Route 30 from the Bluffton area in Allen County east to Canton, then I77 to North Canton where the child and his parents live. The plan is to have both the midday and evening meals on the road, in restaurants along the way.
My question is this: Does anyone travel this route frequently enough(a salesman, maybe?), especially between Mansfield and Canton, to have a good idea which restaurants, if any, prohibit carry? Or perhaps someone knows of any chains which prohibit carry in all their restaurants? The reason I ask is that my elderly passengers don't know that I carry, and the sight of me disarming and rearming in the car could generate some unpleasantries which all of us can do without.
Thank you, as always, for any help you can offer.
