I have a fairly early Model 36 Chief Special. I dabbed the front and rear sight with Fluorescent hobby paint. Will this be a detractor for the sale? If it is, what would be best product to take it off without damaging the bluing? Thanks!

That was quick and appreciated you guys. I'll get some acetone and take care of it. Thanks again..!

You should have listed it yesterday as St. Patrick's Chiefs Special. Too late now- all the Irish have sobered up. :D
Lee. I resemble that remark. With a name resembling Kelly Shawn Patt , how could I not celebrate the wearing of the green?

Word has it the O’Carroll’s were in fine form as well. Otherwise known in these United States as the Carroll clan

I would use a Q-tip dipped in acetone to get into the rear sight cutout. It will probably take at least a couple of applications to get it all out and the recess clean.

When you say “fairly early Model 36” are you implying no dash?? If so, that may command a little extra if it is indeed cleaned up and returned to as original configuration as possible. From the picture I can’t tell, but if it will clean up to relatively high grade it should sell quickly for a premium price.
