Would this Laser/Light from ebay work on my SD9

I'm getting my first gun "SD9" on thursday and I want to go ahead an order a laser/light for it. I'm a ebay buyer and I saw this laser/light that says is for Glock's but I was told it will work on the SD9 also.

Have anyone used this laser/light? I don't mind been a guinea pig to test this light. But if it has been tested and is not worth it, I will like to know it before I buy it.

Any recomendations are welcome.

I would say not without an adapter. Sigma's rail will not work without the "Mickey Mouse" attachment. S&W used to sell a light for Sigmas's and I believe TDR1911, a member of this forum does.

The SD9 rail is a standard picatinny. I'm not sure what the glock uses.

Looks like it will fit, as the Weaver rail and the Picatinny rail have the same dimension width and the laser shown in a "frame grabber" mount.

There are cheaper lasers than the one you were looking at, though. I found a NCStar laser on eBay for my guns for around $20. It has been a lot of fun to play with on several guns. It fits my M&P's and my SD's, which have Picatinny rails.

The SD9 has a standard Picitiny rail and will accept most Glock style accessories. The cross groove that secures these accessories varies on many different lights and lasers. There are numerous options out there.
Here is one that I make that is compact. Made in USA. Available in Blue, red, or white. These are low power Led's to be used more moving around and identifying your threat without losing your night vision.

I ended up buying this laser at walmart for $29.99, it holds strong and is very easy to adjust, but I don't know how it will perform under fire. I will see this weekend.

Any of the cheaper systems will work . The best benefit is dry fire practice. It will help you see how your grip and trigger pulll effects the shot.
By watching the beam move when pulling the trigger demonstrats the importance of dry fire practice. Working on a proper grip and trigger control will dramaticly improve accuracy. Set the laser at 21 feet and start working at that distance.
