Would you buy a 3" M69?

I think it would make an excellent woods/hiking/camping revolver.

I'd also like to see a Scandium version of the M65 3". But, that will never happen.

No, but I WOULD buy one with a 2" bbl! No sense dragging around the excess weight of a 3" tube. Tuckers you out. Also, the 2-incher goes in the pocket easier. I think you know how I am after reading my posts.

Almost forgot: fixed sights. Gotta be. Every once in a while, someone posts a photo of a 29 snub with fixed sights. Factory-produced, not custom. Oh my. How did that ever get by me?

BTW, I do have the Ruger Alaskan in .44Mag. Love it, my walk-in-the-park gun. No kidding. Many thanks for your likes of my posts. How's your weather? 72 degrees here today. Gotta throw an extra comforter on the bed.

P.S. Am still on the fence about the odd lockup, but apparently, it's holding up. I wish Hickok45 would do a YouTube post on the 69. Wonder what he's waiting for?

I wouldn't mind a 2" either. But, with a 3" you burn more powder and, have a longer ejector rod which helps. You're right, fixed sights would be the way to go.

I have also seen a couple of fixed sight 629s. I had one in my hand once. I was picking up a transfer and, saw it in the case. I'm still kicking myself for not picking that one up.

I think a Hickock45 "review" is coming.......

I wouldn't mind a 3" but would prefer a 2.5" (still get a full length ejecter) or 2" and fixed sights.

I'd go for a Scandium K-frame snubby, heck even a normal aluminum framed one with a lock!

Put me on the list as long as it is a full stainless gun with a normal appearance. No slab sided barrels, no Ti or Sc, no weird sights. Just a good old school fixed sight revolver. You'd be standing in line trying to get one.

Does the 69 have a standard L frame barrel thread ? I guess it's a 2 peice barrel from what I hear? Thought about just using a different barrel if it did have same threads

Yes, I have a M29 Bounty Hunter edition, it has a 3" barrel.
