I already have a 58 but wouldn't turn down a spare, but I voted for a 27 snub. Joe

I just think the M-27 is the most intimidating looking revolver made in the 3 1/2 in version. The fact it's in my favorite caliber is just a plus.

3 1/2 " M-27 Vs, the M-58

I voted for the M-27, for several reasons: The model 27 was the flagship for S&W during the entire time it was produced, the fit and finish are second to none. The .357 magnum round and any number of the quality pistols chambered for it is IMHO the best and most practical all-round handgun cartage ever developed.

The M-58 is an fine revolver in it's own right, but sadly the .41 magnum has never caught on and I don't hand load.

I voted for the Model 27.
Aesthetically speaking, I prefer the Model 27. It just has that classic S&W look.
I have always wanted and still do want a Model 27 one day.

I have a 58 and a couple of 57's. The 58 was my duty gun for years.
We were in some very deadly situations together and we got home alive.
For obvious reasons, that is my favorite gun even though it is a homely step cousin to the Mighty Model 27

I broke out the old 58 recently and it was just like puttin' on a favorite old sweater. If the stuff were to hit the fan in the next couple minutes, and I had the time, I would grab that 58. It is still just like an extension of my arm.

It will be the last gun I ever turn loose of figuratively and literally.

I also voted for the 27 3.5", it's been on my want list for some time now! Hey, if it was good enough for George Patton... :)

I never went looking for a 41 Magnum, but a week or so ago, one found me. I have a weakness for 3" guns and this was on the used gun rack at the local shop...

So as soon as I can find ammo, I'll find out if I like 41's.

Take care,
Bob S.
