Would you trust your LIFE to a new Shield?

As others have pointed out not out of the box. I have 500 rounds through it with all kinds of ammo Winchester white box, umc, blazer, federal and even through some Tulamo at it it ran flawless. This week is suppose to be a little cooler and going to try some 124 grain and sd at it all I've shooting is 115 grain.

I'm not going to......

I'm not trusting ANYTHING right out of the box, even the ever dependable Glock.

I bought an almost new used Shield and sent it right back to the factory who replaced the barrel. because the chamber was too tight. No, I like to put my guns through everything so that I know what to expect. The goal for SD is 100% reliability.

My shield 40 has over 800 rounds thru it. I'd guess at least 100 of those ate gold dots or critical defense rounds. Never a hiccup. I'd say I trust it now. But I too admit, if it's not a revolver, there is alway that little doubt in the back of my mind just because of the nature of the gun. Maybe it's unfounded and just old school, but still there.

I don't trust anything right out of the box , My shield was made in March of 2016 and has been flawless I started trusting it to protect me and my family after 300 rounds , which I fired the first time out . It is my Constant companion and reached a 1000 rds about an hour ago this morning!

400 rounds and she's getting to win me over hopefully by the time I where a jacket again, meanwhile I'll stick with my highly concelable summer carry a BG 380.
